If you are an ASP.NET developer it’s likely that you’ve read some of Scott Guthrie’s blog posts. Perhaps you’ve seen him talking about ASP.NET at PDC, ASP.NET Connections or VSLive.

He’s certainly knows ASP.NET! Scott worked on early versions of IIS, created the ASP.NET team with Mark Anders and wrote many key parts of ASP.NET. Scott’s blog is a great resource for ASP.NET developers.  What a lot of people don’t know is that Scott has ties to many other .NET technologies.  From Scott’s blog (emphasis mine):

I am a General Manager within the Microsoft Developer Division and manage the development teams that build several Microsoft products/technologies including: the CLR, .NET Compact Framework, ASP.NET, Windows Forms, WPF and WPF/E(Silverlight), IIS, Commerce Server, and the Visual Studio tool support for Web and WPF applications.  Although my blog is heavy on ASP.NET content, that is actually only one of the technologies I spend time on.

Today Scott announced that he’ll be writing more about WPF this year.  That is great news for the WPF community.  His post are insightful and packed with useful information for developers.  I don’t know how he finds the time. He must only sleep 3 hours a night :>

His first post is about the new Yahoo IM client.  I’m looking forward to reading his posts.

Welcome Scott!
