I ran into Bill Wolff at the MVP summit last month (March 2007).  I told him about my WPF talk I’ve been giving around the US and how much I’ve enjoyed speaking about WPF.  Bill is a get-it-done guy so when I told him I’d be in Philly the week of April 9th he jumped into action.

He organized a special meeting of the “Center City’ user group for April 11th and asked me to keynote the evening.  He also signed up Jason Beres( Infragistics ) for the opening slot.  Jason and I will be sharing the stage again later this year at Devscovery Denver.

Details about the meeting and location

Sam Gentile, another friend of mine who live in Philly, writes about the upcoming meeting here.  Sam is a busy speaker too.  Looks like he’s giving a talk in New Jersey in May!

Come to the meeting

If you are in the Philadelphia region next week I’d love to have you stop by for the evening.  Two speakers, great topics, free food and a chance to hang out with your developer friends.  What more could you want?

But they are wrong.

WPF represents the first significant change to the Windows graphics engine in over ten years. What is trivial to build with WPF is difficult or impossible in Microsoft’s current Winforms technology. The WPF API is chock full of improvements for constructing …
