By default any Silverlight video you create in Expression Encoder 2 has AutoPlay set to true. Therefore if you have a Web page with several of these Silverlight applications embedded they’ll all start playing at the same time.

Hidden Setting in Expression Encoder 2
There is a way to configure AutoPlay in Expression Encoder. It’s just not very obvious.
- Open Expression Encoder2
- Open an project and ensure that it contains a video. If not, Import a video.
- Go to the Output tab on the right hand side, and select a Template (see Figure 2).
- Click the Show Advanced Properties symbol. This will open another properties pane.

There are few interesting properties in this advanced section. The two that solve the auto start problem are shown in Figure 3:

Automatically start video when cued: Uncheck this checkbox to prevent the video for auto starting.
Automatically cue video when the page is loaded: This causes the video to be downloaded to the user computer even if playback has not started.
